What's up with the Whataburger on Del Mar?

The folks at Popeye's at San Bernardo and Calton Road were mighty generous when two of their favorite elderly patrons came in after a lengthy absence from daily biscuits and coffee at the eatery. The service was excellent and the kindnesses well noted.
At Teocali on McPherson, you'll enjoy the same good service you've always gotten since the establishment opened.
If you've noticed that Alex Leal of Rio Grande Helicopters flies with military precision, that's because he's a former Army pilot. It's always a pleasure to be sky-bound with Alex, whether it's for a game survey over ranch land or an environmental survey of the watershed of the Río Grande. The company now operates two Bell helicopters and reports heavy booking in the months prior to and through deer season.
The folks at Laredo Implement provide one stop shopping for all your fencing needs. They are always in stock and are easy to get to on your way South.
At Lowe's, the MC found a wonderful selection of Klein tools and consistently good service from one individual who knows how to use tools, and that would be Adrian Sanchez who steered the MC away from the bargain table and to the best buy for an American-made electric drill and a power saw. Clerk Joe Guevara was affable and friendly, but he forgot to load the MC's 2x4s onto the trailer, which necessitated another trip into town and a wait for a review of the loading video to see if the MC was telling the truth about being shorted the lumber. The customer is not always right, the video is. Company policy.
Get thee to a Carlos Puente store to buy La Casona flour tortillas. They are light and incredibly good.
Incredible. When the MC called the old Wal-Mart to see if they stocked glass Ball jars and brass lids for canning preserves, a female telephone clerk asked, "What are those?" Qué no te acabo de decir. The MC had better luck at the new Wal-Mart on Clark Boulevard when a male clerk affirmed not only that they were in stock and plentiful, but also which entrance to use and which aisle to walk to.
The MC found excellent service from Manuel Cantú at Favarato's. He made certain the MC's dining needs were well attended to. Great attitude.
The accommodating staff at Los Generales makes every effort to make breakfast the best meal you'll have all day. Hats off to the cooks, those who keep the place spotless, and those who keep the coffee cups filled.
Not a car ahead of the MC in the take-out lane of the Whataburger on Del Mar, but over the next 15 minutes a big line stacked up behind the MC. A simple, single order with a drink should not have cost a quarter hour mid-day on a Monday.
