This 800 acre tract of Zapata County ranch land has
been in excellent, environmentally managed stewardship
for the last 15 years. Located on Ranch Road 3169 about
four miles from San Ygnacio (between Laredo and Zapata
on Hwy. 83), Santa María Ranch is home to a wealth
of wildlife including species of indigenous and migratory
fowl, javelina, coyote, bobcat, reptiles, quail, dove,
and white tail deer.
This lease for this portion of the Santa María
Ranch allows only for the harvesting of white tail deer,
one buck and one doe per hunter. The lease provides
a fenced campsite with water and electrical hookup for
the season, a site large enough to accommodate a travel
trailer or portable building.
The bio-diversity of the Santa María Ranch with
its arroyos, cactus pear flats, and brushland offers
a rich outdoors experience in a natural setting, an
ideal venue for solitude or for a family adventure of
ranch land hiking, bird watching, or wildlife photography.
We are owners in residence with hands-on management
and oversight of our cow-calf operation and our deer
lease enterprise.
The ranch is 20 minutes from Zapata, four miles from
historic San Ygnacio, 40 minutes from Laredo and Nuevo
Laredo, and about two hours from the ruins of Old Guerrero,
Tamps.
