Frank M. Rotnofsky named president of Streets of Laredo Urban Mall Association

 

Architect Frank M. Rotnofsky has been named president of the Streets of Laredo Urban Mall Association for 2004-2005.

Rotnofsky currently serves on the City of Laredo Historic District/Landmark Board and as vice-chair of the Texas Historic Commission's State Board Review. He is also involved in numerous organizations such as the Laredo Center for the Arts, the American Institute of Architects, Lower Rio Grande Chapter, TX, and the Texas Society of Architects.

"I am looking forward to working with the board of directors, our members, and the local community to continue the efforts of the organization's mission towards the revitalization of downtown Laredo ," said Rotnofsky. "The Association is actively involved in downtown revitalization and beautification projects as well as in planning for our annual fundraising event, the Jamboozie Mardi Gras. This grand street party has drawn record crowds and has proven effective in the promotion of downtown awareness. I am also proud to announce that through the cooperation between the Streets of Laredo Urban Mall Association and the Texas Downtown Association, Laredo will be hosting the TDA's 2005 Annual Conference in downtown Laredo ."

Educated in New York City , Rotnofsky holds a master's in Architecture from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a bachelor's of Architecture from the Pratt Institute. For the past eight years he has been a principal of Frank Architects, Inc.

Also named into the association are David T. Newman, vice-president; Ana Laura Moreno, treasurer; and Javier De Anda, board of directors.
