Men's Health Conference promotes better health among men
This Father's Day Laredo Medical Center encourages the men in the community to attend the Fourth Annual Men's Health Conference Saturday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the general public, and will be held at LMC's Community Center, First Floor, Tower B.
There will be free health screenings available at the conference, including blood pressure checks, glucose checks, PSA level testing, lung capacity measurements, and stress management tips.
LMC's goal is to motivate men to stay healthy by providing general health information on such topics as nutrition counseling, sleep disorders, smoking cessation, alcohol related health risks, diabetes, and skin cancer.
Also available at the health fair are additional services that may be of interest to men. Other sponsors of the conference will be in attendance to provide guidance on auto care (A-1 Auto Stop), and financial stability (Primerica).
Laredo Medical Center invites the Laredo community for a free healthy breakfast and a presentation on men's health issues featuring Dr. Bobby Bains, Dr. Arturo Guajardo, and Dr. Arthur Santos.
