The Laredo Wellness Center, a 3,000-square-foot facility offering employment physicals, physical therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, work conditioning, and pain management, is now open in Cantera Court at 9802 North McPherson Road.
"Our multi-disciplinary team of specialized, caring professionals including chiropractor Dr. Robert B. Fraser and manager Nellie Farolan, as well as occupational, massage, and exercise therapists, and trainers who offer Laredoans in a cost-effective manner the best chances of recovery from work-related injuries, automobile accidents, or sports injuries," said partner Terry de Guzman McGraw of dGK International Consulting.
According to de Guzman McGraw, the Laredo Wellness Center is patterned after Dr. Fraser's McAllen Work Rehabilitation Center, a 10,000 square foot industrial rehabilitation facility which provides return to work programs for injured workers. Dr. Fraser is a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator and a member of the National Rehabilitation Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Board of Disability Management and Occupational Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Society.
Dr. Fraser has established industrial therapy clinics for physicians in Dallas, Houston, San Angelo, and Fort Worth and serves as a consultant for businesses, doctors, and physical therapists who are developing work injury prevention programs. He is co-founder of the Río Grande Valley Safety Council which provides employers with information on Occupational Health and Safety.
De Guzman McGraw added that the Laredo Wellness Center treats neck, back, and shoulder pain, knee sprains, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, and post-surgical conditions. The center is equipped to offer strength tests, range of motion tests, cardiovascular fitness, biofeedback, gait training, and hand therapy.
