Save-A-Life Summer kicks off
with swimming lessons

Laredoans will have the opportunity to first aid and water safety this summer thanks to the Red Cross.

Save-A-Life Summer, an annual campaign sponsored by the Webb County Chapter of the American Red Cross, is an educational and interactive initiative that reaches out to families with important information about CPR and first aid training, water safety, learn-to-swim programs, and other lifesaving information.

Saving-A-Life Summer kicks off with the Learn to Swim program June 3 and continue through July 26. The program is appropriate for all ages, and course levels are designed to help students learn to swim or improve their swimming skills with new strokes, stroke refinements, and diving safety tips and techniques, as well as completing the Water Habits Are Learned Early (WHALE TALES) course. The cost is $50 per participant and upon completion of each level, participants will receive certificates.

Session one is set for June 3-14, session two is June 17-28, session three is from July 1-12, and session four is July15-26.
