Entries called for Salsa Juried Student Art Show at Center for the Arts

 

The Laredo Center for the Arts will sponsor Salsa, the Laredo Community College/Texas A&M International University Juried Student Art Show, April 5- 29. A reception Thursday April 7, from 6-8 p.m. at the Center for the Arts, will officially open the exhibit.

The show is open to all LCC and TAMIU students enrolled between Spring 2004 and Spring 2005. Students are allowed to submit two pieces for a non-refundable entry fee of $10. All participants will automatically become LCA members.

Entries must be submitted on Friday, April 1 between 9 a .m. and 5 p.m. at the LCA Mezzanine.

Eligible media include ceramics, digital artwork, drawing (includes pastel and ink), mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and installation. Work is restricted to 4 ft . x 4 ft .

One $250 cash prize will be awarded by the Laredo Art League to the Best of Show. Accepted entries will also be eligible for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards.

This exhibit will be held in the Goodman Gallery.
