Edward Whitworth named STNB president,
Albert Todd Lowry executive vice-president

Edward Whitworth was recently elected president
of South Texas National Bank by the bank's board
of directors. Additionally, Albert Todd Lowry was
elected executive vice-president of STNB.
Whitworth has been a director and executive vice-president
of the bank. Prior to joining STNB, he was a director
and executive vice-president of The Laredo National
Bank. He has over 27 years of experience in all
aspects of Laredo commercial banking.
"We are very pleased that Eddie has accepted
the leadership role of STNB," said Fernando
Zuniga, chairman of the board of directors. "My
fellow directors could not be happier. Carroll Summers,
George Person, and I have been with STNB since the
beginning and have been delighted with the outstanding
growth of this very solid bank."
Whitworth was recently responsible for converting
and integrating Del Rio National Bank and Sterling
Bank Eagle Pass Branch into STNB. He attended public
schools in Laredo and graduated with a degree in
accounting from Texas A&I at Kingsville. He
is a CPA and began his career with Ernst and Ernst
before joining LNB. He is married to Diane Donovan
Whitworth, and they have two daughters, Ashley Gonzalez
and Amy.
Lowry is a committee chair for the Webb County Farm
Service Agency and Board member of the Texas Agricultural
Finance Authority. He is a former member of the
Laredo Chamber of Commerce, WBCA, Leadership Laredo,
and Boys & Girls Club. He graduated from Texas
A&M - College Station and is married to Diana
Solis Lowry.
"Albert is an outstanding young man with a
very successful career as a commercial lender and
all-around great Laredo banker," said Zuniga.

his leadership and participation in the lending
activities of STNB with all types of loans."
