Laredo piano students attend
Interlochen Arts Academy

Hyunji Lee and Isaac Diaz, two Laredo piano students, are currently attending the Interlochen Arts Camp in Traverse City, Michigan. The Interlochen Arts Camp, which runs from June 16 to August 10, is the world's oldest and most successful fine arts camp for students age 8 to 18.
Hyunji, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sangick Lee, is a seventh grade student at United Middle School. In addition to piano, She enjoys playing the oboe and the violin in the school's band and orchestra, respectively.
Isaac, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Diaz, is a senior at Martin High School and the Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts. He plans a career in music, and is pianist at the Seventh-Day Adventists Church. Both are students of Dr. Mary Grace Carroll, piano instructor at the Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts.
Another former VMT student, Thomas Ramos, attended both the Interlochen Arts Camp and the Interlochen Arts Academy, a boarding school for grades 9-12. Ramos studied tuba with John Reimund, low brass instructor at the School of Communications and Fine Arts.
According to its web site, "Interlochen is an educational Institution for talented and motivated young people which emphasizes excellence in artistic and academic achievement and arts presentation."
