Dustie Cortez, Marc Moore wed
at Chapel by the Sea on Padre Island

Dustie Cortez and Marc Moore exchanged marriage vows on the evening of April 20, 2002 at the Chapel by the Sea on South Padre Island. Reverend Juan Serna, the bride's cousin, performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Gomez of San Antonio. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tomás and Diana Moore of Laredo.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother Vincent Cortez. Heather Moore, the groom's sister-in-law, was the Maid of Honor. Sam Moore served his brother as best man. The bride's attendants were her cousin Jonie Canfield; April Alvarez, groom's cousin; and Jeanne Shands, a friend of the bride. The flower girl was Maya Gomez, the bride's baby sister.
The groom's attendants were Michael Kitsmiller, the groom's cousin; Carlos Ordoñez, the groom's friend; and Tom Moore, the groom's brother. Serving as ushers were Marcelino García and Louis Ramirez, friends of the groom. Readers were Diana M. Kerkis, the groom's sister, and Patricia Nuñez, the groom's cousin. The reception following the ceremony took place in the ballroom of the Bahia Mar Resort.
Dustie and Marc Moore, both graduates of the University of Texas - Pan American, reside in Laredo. In the fall, Dustie will teach theatre arts at United South High School, and Marc Moore will teach fine arts at Ruiz Elementary School.
