KLRN's Women's Health Conference set for January 29 at TAMIU

KLRN, in partnership with Texas A&M International University , is bringing its Women's Health Conference to Laredo . The Conference is designed to empower women with knowledge to help them make informed choices about their health. Diane Gates chairs the event, which was made possible in part by a generous gift from the Lamar Bruni Vergara Trust.

The KLRN Laredo Women's Health Conference will be held from 9 a .m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, January 29, at Texas A&M International University in the Student Center . Conference admission is $30 and includes a full day of informative speakers and breakout sessions, health screenings, a continental breakfast, a formal luncheon, and a gift bag.

During the breakout sessions, national and local speakers will address women's health topics including skin care, osteoporosis, exercise, heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, health and beauty, financial health, and more.

One of the most recognized authorities on women's health in the Spanish-speaking world will be visiting Laredo to speak at the conference.
