Dear María Eugenia,

Thank you for publishing such thoughtful and insightful essays. I don’t know of another newspaper in Texas that has covered the (prospective) war with Iraq with such moral clarity. We certainly don’t find comparable essays in the Dallas Morning News.

Best wishes,

Dear Ms. Guerra:

Congratulations for being recognized as a Nixon Legend from the Class of ’66.

It is an honor for me to share this recognition with individuals like you. I read your November issue of LareDOS, and the kind words you used to describe me had a great impact on what this recognition means. Your service to the community as a professional journalist empowers people by providing them with information on current events that impact our everyday lives.

I commend you for a job well done as a journalist -- including covering controversial issues in a tactful manner.
