LMC welcomes new physicians

 

The Laredo Medical Center announced the additions to their staff of Dr. José Hilario, DPM, whose specialty is Podiatric Medicine, and Dr. Ralph deAyala whose speciality is Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Originally from Texas , Dr. Hilario returns by way of Chicago , Illinois , where he completed residency and medical school.  He is a graduate of the Dr. Wil liam M. Scholl College of Podiatry Medicine. He has also worked at Cook County Hospital in Chicago . 

Dr. Hilario recently attended a special training on Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine which will allow him to better serve the diabetic population in Laredo . A diabetic patient may have a much more difficult time recovering from a wound, and HBO treatments can help heal the wound and prevent amputation. He understands that patients deserve to have options and empowers them to learn about them and encourages patients to always ask questions. 

Aside from his education and training, Dr. Hilario follows a philosophy that assures his patients that they do not have to face an ordeal on their own. Patients will appreciate the family oriented approach he uses within his practice. 

Dr. Hilario will be opening the Laredo Foot Clinic at 7210 McPherson, Suite, 100.

His office hours will be Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 9 a .m. to 5 p.m. He will have extended hours on Thursday from 10 a .m. to 8 pm and on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a .m. too 2 p.m.  He can be reached at (956) 712-0500.

Dr. de Ayala, a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, has practiced in Baytown . He completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in 1990 and practiced in Clevelend, Tenessee until 2001. 

Dr. deAyala stressed the importance of women keeping up with their well being. “Nowadays, more and more women are not only making the decisions in the household but they are also doing it in the fast track of the business world,” he said, adding “The more you expect from your body the more it is going to expect from you.” He said he invited women to ask the important questions concerning their health.
