Mystery Customer
Talk to me! Ayudame!
Don't you hate it when store clerks, especially at the huge chain stores, pretend you are not waiting to ask them a question and they continue popping their chicle and talking to someone else about a recent date or a mortificacíon of some kind.
Great service from a female clerk in the Academy shoe department; sour and an impatient fellow at the checkout where the dude didn't even mumble “Thank you!” The latter leaves an impression that far outlasts the former.
From a considerable distance, the MC got great service from Tommy Gutierrez of Mac Solutions . He talked the MC through quite a perplexing computer dilemma.
David Vuong and family cook up some wonderful dishes at Genji Asian Cuisine at 7511 McPherson. You'll enjoy any of the Vietnamese or Thai vermicelli dishes, and you'll enjoy David's family.
The restaurant at La India Packing Company is probably one of the most interesting places to have lunch. The food is always good, you will always run into someone you know, and the service is consistently good
On a day when it wasn't busy at all, Chili's kept the MC and his party waiting and waiting.
Thumbs down for some recent service at Carino's where wait staff and servers are usually very attentive.
When you buy something at Target , pray to God you never have to return it because it's a good bet the line at customer service is longer than you'll want to wait. The MC wanted to return a $7 sports wrap for the wrist, which he ended up keeping to avoid the line.
Pete Guerra at Guerra Automotive is a great troubleshooter. His best guesses end up as repairs that cost far less than others.
Fantastic service from a waitress at Mariscos El Pescador on San Dario. A meal is so much more enjoyable when someone really makes you feel welcome.
Another restaurant that offered great, friendly service was La Parrilla #3 on Scott Street. They sure know how to make you feel welcome.
The service wasn't so great at IHOP . They were short cooks one day, so their solution was not to seat people. They finally admitted that it would be a long wait. Why not just put up a sign informing the customers that they are short handed and will have a lengthy wait? MC left and went elsewhere.
