LMC adds new administrators

 

Laredo Medical Center recently added new personnel to its administrative staff. John Gallagher has joined LMC as its associate chief executive officer, and Steve Walker has been named the hospital's director of operations.

Gallagher previously was chief operating officer at Park Place Medical Center and Mid-Jefferson Hospital in southeast Texas . He also served as interim chief executive officer at Mid-Jefferson prior to that, as well as chief executive officer of Mesa General Hospital in Phoenix , Arizona . Additional, he held administrative positions with Las Palmas & Del Sol Regional Healthcare System and Memorial Southwest Hospital in Houston .

Gallagher is a graduate of the University of Houston - Clear Lake with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University .

Steve Walker, a 30-year veteran of healthcare operations and management, previously served as vice president of engineering and support service for Community Health Systems' corporate office, as well as a term at Lake Granbury Medical Center .

“Steven's experience and natural instincts have allowed us to get underway on several new projects,” said John Ulbricht, associate chief executive officer at LMC. “We are confident our endeavors will run a smoother course with Steven leading the way.”
