Schedule for Garbage Pick-Up

South of Clark : Mondays and Thursdays
North of Clark : Tuesdays and Fridays
All household garbage will be picked up on your collection days. Garbage must be next to street curb by 7:00 a.m. for easy pick up.

Branches, Brush & Grass Clippings
Branches, brush and grass clippings are only picked up on Mondays or Tuesdays, depending on your collection days. To ensure proper pick up by the department, branches must not exceed more than 5 feet in length and must be tied in bundles not weighing more than 35 pounds. If branches, large items, or construction debris are placed on the city right-of-way you could be cited by the City's Code Enforcement Division. If branches exceed more than two (2) cubic yards, you will have to wait for the branch crew to be in your area. The departments schedule for branch crews are as follows:

Odd Number Months:
District I (1st Wednesday of the month) District II (2nd Wednesday of the month) District III (3rd Wednesday of the month)
District IV (4th Wednesday of the month)
Even Number Months:
District V (1st Wednesday of the month)
District VI (2nd Wednesday of the month)
District VII (3rd Wednesday of the month)
District VIII (4th Wednesday of the month)

Recycling of Blue Bags
Bags are only picked up on Thursdays and Fridays.
Items which should be placed in "blue bags" are as follows: newspapers, magazines, steel and aluminum cans, plastics, soda bottles, water and milk jugs. The Recycling Drop-Off Center located at 1201 Clark Blvd. is open for business Wednesday through Sunday. Schedule is as follows: Wednesday's: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday thru Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Appliance Pick-up
Appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and other large items may be picked up by the department by appointment only. Appliances must be placed in right of way for proper pick up.

Landfill
Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also, open the first Sunday of each month from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Hwy. 359 (1.9 miles E. Hwy 359 & Loop 20 Intersection)
Monday thru Friday there is a $2.00 fee, if your load exceeds one ton, there is a $30.00 per ton fee. On Saturdays and the first Sunday of the month Laredo residents with proof of a valid drivers license and recent utility stub may enter at no charge, however if load exceeds one (1) ton, there is a $30.00 per ton fee. Closed to the public during wet weather.

Used Oil Collection Centers
The city currently accepts used oil at 11 locations throughout the city using the neighborhood collection bins.
