The Webb County Heritage Foundation (WCHF) invites Laredoans to come out and “taste our history” during the first-ever Restaurant Week.

In a completely different take on celebrating the founding of Laredo, the Webb County Heritage Foundation has joined with local restaurants to produce Laredo’s first Restaurant Week. Scheduled as part of the celebration of our city’s founding, “Dining Under Seven Flags” Restaurant Week in Laredo is designed to reach out to our community’s hard-hit restaurant industry and help jumpstart a return to normal economic activity. Restaurant Week takes place from now until Saturday, May 15.

“There’s a great array of delicious menus to try and all this supports our local restaurants and our local historic preservation efforts,” said Margarita Araiza, WCHF Executive Director.

All restaurants’ menus and schedules are listed on the Heritage Foundation’s website at www.webbheritage.org . All have carry-out options. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold by participating restaurants.

Tickets for “Dining Under Seven Flags” Restaurant Week can be purchased online at www.webbheritage.org, and at the Heritage Foundation office at 500 Flores Avenue.

The Webb County Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation, heritage education, and heritage tourism. It is the only organization that annually hosts a Founders Day Celebration. This year, the Foundation is urging curious audiences to “Taste Our History”. The border region has deep culinary traditions and talents and this celebration encourages support of the restaurant industry and local historic preservation.
