Who told his cheering mob to march to the Capitol and blatantly lied to them, telling them he would be marching with them?

The Webb County Republican Chair is delighted that his President was acquitted by 43 Republican Senators who ignored the mountains of evidence that he actually incited the mob to storm the Capitol. Most of those Republican Jurors were complicit with the President by actually swallowing the big lie that the election was stolen.

Senators Cruz, Holley, Graham, and many other cowards actually objected to the results of the 2020 Presidential election without a shred of evidence to support that claim. In a regular trial, these alleged lawyers would have been condemned and ejected from the courtroom by the presiding judge for unethical conduct. Fifteen Republican Senators actually skipped hours of testimony at the trial, and several met with the defense lawyers to discuss strategy. Most of them, as in the previous impeachment trial, told reporters they would not convict no matter what evidence was presented. I ask the head Republican in Webb County, the following questions;

  1. Who whined after his lopsided loss that he had been robbed of his landslide victory?
  2. Who refused to concede his obvious loss?
  3. Who raked in over $200 million dollars after his loss for his “defense fund?”
  4. Why did 70% of that money make its way to his own coffers?
  5. Who called the Georgia Secretary of State and pressured him to “find” thousands of votes in his favor?
  6. Who invited on a daily basis, thousands to D.C. on January 6, 2021, promising a “wild time”?
  7. Who told his cheering mob to march to the Capitol and blatantly lied to them, telling them he would be marching with them?
  8. Who told them to fight like hell or they would “lose their country?”
  9. If the mob went of their own accord, or because of free will, why are most of the jailed domestic terrorists who carried Trump and Confederate flags and Stop the Steal signs into the Capitol, claim they were following his orders?
  10. Why did he have plexiglass protecting him at his last provocative speech?
  11. Why wasn’t he whisked away out of D.C. when the mob stormed the Capitol?
  12. Why did he throw his V.P. under the bus when Pence refused to overturn the Electoral vote results?
  13. Why was he disappointed that those around him were not as excited and gleeful as he was as the Capitol building was being desecrated?

The President’s actions remind me of an old Mexican saying: Tira la Piedra y esconde su brazo. Here’s hoping the ongoing Congressional investigation leads straight to the Oval Office and that the new Department of Justice does its job and dispenses equal justice for everyone involved in the worst attack on democracy in American History.
