THC training focus: public training on local historic districts

Representatives of the Texas Historical Commission (THC) will be in Laredo on Thursday, April 13 at 5 p.m. for a public training on local historic districts and the general requirements for how they are administered.

Scheduled primarily for the members of the City of Laredo Historic District Landmark Board, the THC presentation has now been made available to the general public. It will be held in City Council chambers.

Madeline Clites, Certified Local Government Coordinator for the THC, and Sara Luduena, Architectural Reviewer for the THC, will present training on best practices for preservation at the local level, a review of the national, state, and local designation process, and how the THC’s programs can assist Laredo in achieving its preservation goals.
